LSMW Transport Request Creation

Former Member

Hi All,

I need to create transport request for a LSMW project. The project has 2 sub projects. Sub project 1 has 2 objects and sub-project 2 has 13 objects.

My questions are...

1. How to create transport request for my LSMW project, subprojects and objects.

2. Should I need to create individual transport request for each subproject and objects?

Please help. I will appreciate all useful answers.

Thanks

Bala

I think that you can only create a transport request for the entire project.

You can create the Transport request for each object in the Sub object.

The procedure is: First create the Transport as usual in SE09 and assign the LSMW to Transport request. You can simply make the Transport task as development correction.

This way create as many transport requests as the objects are having.

Hi Balakrishnan,

There are two methods for this. Can choose any one.

1)Extras>Export Projects>(Give the Project name)

In next screen choose what subproject, routines, etc.. you wan to copy then, Export Rules-->Export(Will prompt for file name)

A text file will be downloaded.

In the Target System

Goto LSMW Extras-->Import Projects and give the text file done.

2)Extras-->Generate Change Request

Assign a change request can then transport.

In your case the first approach would be better, through this you can transport individual Objects.

Check this link for more details,
