Updation of Counter reading in measurement document for PM

As we're trying to implement performance based maintenance in our work are, is there is possibility to link the product data to update/generate measurement document?

How this is achieved? Can someone point out to relevant readings for integrating PP data with PM for performance based maintenance?

This is possible by following procedure.

1. Create Equipment as PRT.

2. Enter performance based Maintenance Plan number & Measuring Point number in tab "PRT data"

3. Assign PRT to operation in routing of PP.

4. When Production order is confirmed, measuring document is updated automatically.

(Please make sure that the UOM used in characteristics of Measuring Point/Counter and production confirmation UOM are same.)

Is all of this data held within SAP, or are there external systems invovlved?

All data is available in SAP. I am very new to PBM and I am trying to establish it here.
