Availability control for MM Reservations

Hi guys,

1. I have a requirement in which the reservation must check for the budget at the time of creation.I have made all the necessary integration settings but still it goes through without checking the budget.

2. Using the BCS, is it possible for the Purchase Requisition to only check for the budget at the time of Release?If so how, coz all my settings are not coming into effect it seems.

Is this question in regard to funds management and if so, do you want the availability control trigered when a purchase requisition is created (I don't know what you mean by release) if so which budget- commitment or payment budget?

Yes this is a Funds Management question.Yes i would want the availability control to be triggered at the time of release (authorisation) but not at creation stage. I am using payment budget SAP R/3 4.72. I am also using the budgetary control system (BCS) and not former budgeting.

I still don't understand your meaning by release a purchase requisition? However I am sure there is a value type assigned to it. You probably need to maintain the cluster VC_FMAVCUPDFILT using Tcode SM34. Check the value types that have been excluded against the AVC payment budget (I don't know if you created your own AVC ledger or you're using the SAP delivered one). If you see the value type, remove it from the exclusion and save. The AVC should kick in when you release the requisition.

I have done what you advised me to do but still it didnt work and there is still this issue of the MM reservation being subjected to availability control.The reservation must check for the budget at the time of creation.

any idea of how this can be achieved?
