The values in the source data are same as the database SAP BPC MS

Hi Experts ,

We are using SAP BPC MS Daily when we run Import data manager package we are getting an error saying The values in the source data are same as the database .I could not see anything in the rejections I understood with the message that input file containing data already which exists in the source.but i am not sure.Could you please guide me how to prepare root cause analysis for this particular issue.the logs are below

Hi Subba,

What it means is that the records in the file you're trying to import are the same as what's already in the database, so the import won't change anything. There could be various reasons for this. Another user might already have made the same import, in which case you should be able to see this in the Data Manager View Status dialogue. Or maybe you're simply trying to import last month's actuals rather than the current month's numbers. If you keep getting this message, turn on the data audit for this model and run it for one of the records in the import file. That way you can see which activity updated that particular combination of dimension members.

The data is not rejected because there is nothing wrong with it. It's just that posting it wouldn't make a difference as it's exactly the same data that is already in the system.

As for Data Audit, check here for help on how to set it up and how to run reports on it.
