Date format Change

Hai All,

probably a simple question. I am downloading data from an ODS. I have dates int he format 8/3/2006. I need to upload this data after modifications as a flat file. But the date format in flat file needs to be in 20060803 format.

I am saving this data to excel.

How can I convert this automatically?

    Hi,

    Goto System->user Profile->own data.

    Change the setting here and then check in the preview of transfer structure and original records.

    You can make changes here don't hav to write any code.

    Hi Visu,

    You can keep the date format as DD/MM/YYYY in the flatfile. Now in the transfer rules -> Datasource/Trans.Structure tab -> Goto the date field and if your scroll to the right you would find a column "Conversion" -> select "PDATE" as the conversion. You can then go ahead and load.

    The other option is to convert the date in the file itself. You would need to write a macro for that. The following post has the code for that:
