Alert rule for SOAP adapter

Former Member

Dear Friends

I have created the Alert Categories and defined the alert rules for SOAP Adapter (Receiver) on runtime workbench, but the alerts are not getting triggered for errors on Adapter. If I check the radio button "No restriction" then the alert messages are getting triggered. I can see the alert messages for File and JDBC but for SOAP if I select Adapter Engine radio button on the Alert Rule Definition screen then it is not working. Do I need to do any specific setup for SOAP adapter to get the alerts?. Did any one experienced this for SOAP Adapter.

Thanks,

Jay

Hi Bhavesh and Prashant,

Thanks a lot for your responses. For File and JDBC, I have given * in the Adapter type field. If I select the same for SOAP then the alerts are not working but if I select No Restriction for SOAP then the alerts are working but the only problem is in this case I cannot differentiate whether the error is coming from IE or AFW. I have created the error on SOAP Adapter for testing this and it works only for No Restriction Option.

Thanks,

Jay

Jay,

Thats strange. Raising an OSS with SAP should help.

Gowri,

Can you try this,

1. When you trigger File and JDBC alerts , is File Adapter or JDBC adapter selected in the Alert Rule or is it No Restriction?

2. If the Alerts are working fine for File / JDBC and not for SOAP, make sure that the SOAP adapter is actually having an error in RWB.

3. Trace the Alert log in SLG1

If still no success OSS is the way to go.
