Can I copy an InfoSource

I need to extract data from a new datasource that has the exact same structure as an existing datasource in BW (these datasources are in the same system). I would like to copy the existing infosource (and datasource) so that I do not have to recreate all of the transfer rules. To clarify:

I have Datasource_A mapped to InfoSource_A.

I will have a new Datasource_B mapped to InfoSource_B.

I would like to make a copy InfoSource_A to InfoSource_B.

Is there a program or function module available to do this for me?

    Hi Sue,

I suggest you do not close this topics, maybe someone has found a program to copy the Transfer Roules and can write you the solution.

    Ciao.

    Hi Sue,

I know you can create a copy of an InfoSource with InfoSource Template option in pop-up for Create InfoSource, but for me it is impossible to copy the Transfer Roules, also because you define it after defining the related DataSource.

    Ciao.

    Riccardo.

    Hi Sue,

You can use the template option when you are trying to create a new Infosource.
