Hi

I have an R/3 System and Portal Server in City A. I have vendors at City B who want to perform some transaction using the Portal. We have decided to use WinGui method. Will it be possible for the vendors to perform the transactions in the R/3 system sitting at their desks. City A and City B offices are not connected in a LAN. We are not using ITS servers also.

Suggestions are welcome.

Assuming that they have the Windows Gui installed on their PC's and that they can get a connection into R/3, then yes they can run the transactions.

Yes, Installing SAPGui on vendor's PC is possible. But the second part is not clear. Is there a need to have a LAN connection between them.

Hi Murli,

on remote site end user can use intranet using vpn...if its not possible then u have to give live ip to ur portal server so that end user can use portal thru internet..for that u have to use "WEBGUI" for transaction iview...

Well Wingui only uses between 2 - 6K per screen, so you could do it over the web or use a VPN.
