How to do IntegrationTesting?

thanks for ur immediate response, can any one please tell me how we get the data from R/3 and BW and how we can compare it in integration testing as we are not using any automated tools for testing it should be done manually.

Hi,

You can compare the data from RSA3. Run RSA3 and save the data in a file and then compare with BW.

you can compare the PSA data with R/3 to check whether your data transport is correct.

But its very much important the end result(with data in DataTargets ex.Infocube...) should be reconciled with the R/3 data to check your update and transfer rules are working fine.

Integration testing is usually done by business owner who run the transaction do cross module transaction and check the value whether it was correctly posted.

They basically created there own report which they use to widely refer during their business process.

Hi,

Integration covers checking BW Reports belongs to more than 1 business scenario in R/3 i.e. Estimated Sales vs Plan, the data could come from Sales Cube and also from Plan cube.

Testing in BW is alligned with R/3 Testing.

Hello Sairam,

if i have understood you correctly, you need to compare data from the application tables of the respective datasource & the bw reports based on teh same.

take care that the period (for which the comparison is done )data should exist in BW!!

you need to know the application tables for the major datasources for this. SAP help should be the best possible way to know.
