Sapscript : HP printer Vs other (say Canon) and Page Size

Hi,

I am facing following issue:

When I print my sapscript using HP printer using A4 paper size the contents get spread more on page i.e. it take lesser left (shifts to left) and right (shifts to right) margin. The character display gets spread compared to LETTER paper size.

What could be reason for this.

We have not faced much issue using a Canon printer though.

Thanks.

Hi,

Check the 'Output device' & 'Device type' used from SPAD transaction, this might give idea about the error,

Hi,

I currently dont have authorization for SPAD.

However I would like to know if this is a known problem with HP printer?

Or changing paper size (A4 or Letter) etc does change the character widths printed actually. Is it for only HP printer or others also behave in same way.

Thanks.

Hi,

It may not be the known problem with HP printers, you need to check the device type attached to your output device to confirm that the printer used is HP printer, by mistake if some one has modified this in SPAD, this kind of issues will popup, if you dont have authorizations, you can check with your basis about the same,

Rgds,
