Can any body help me what is

1. what is request reverse posting ?

2. what is the purpose of this?

3. where we use this option?

Hi,

You will have this option in monitor. Suppose you have loaded some data for financials which may be wrong. Now you don't want to show them in reporting. After this request you have other requests loaded. Now you can't deletye this request. So you go for reverse posting which will send neagative values for key figures and make the aggregation zero.

Hi ,

Reverse posting is pulling out data from the compressed cube selectively.Once the data is loaded in the cibe & the cube is compressed then you can't delete the data & no request will be available . So if you found out late that the some of the data in the cube shows the results which are not expected then for such a selection set you do a reverse post & then load the correct data.

Hi,

First you should have the earlier request data in PSA. The you will have the option for reverse posting for the same earlier request in monitor. Using that you can do reverse posting.

And the result will as shown in the above thread.

Hi,

Take a request for which you have wrong values for key figures.

<b>Companycode Month Area Type kf1 kf2 kf3</b>

1001 02.2006 A1 E 100 121 135

The above data is wrong data in the request and you don't want that. Now by reverse request you will have the record like below in the cube.

<b>Companycode Month Area Type kf1 kf2 kf3</b>

1001 02.2006 A1 E 100 121 135

1001 02.2006 A1 E -100 -121 -135

In teh reporting the values willl be shown as 0 as they get aggregated.

Hi,

If u do reverse posting of a request all the signs of the key figures are reversed. All

additivie key figures will be substracted and vice versa.But this will be posted

as a seperate request. That means reverse posting are also documented in the system.

they r not like undone or delted.

Say for example u had posted one record in to the cube.All the key figures r updated (some are added and some r substracted). but u want to revert it back.so what u can do is if your data is present in the PSA. u can reverse post that request so that all the signs of the key figures are reversed( i.e addition becomes minus and minus key figures becomes additive) so that the net

key figure change is nullufied. i.t total change is Zero

in this way u can reverse posting can be done
