    Hi,

    Welcome to SDN!!!

In the infoprovider ie. ods the data is loaded from the datasource which brings the data from the source system. with the ods there are three tables attached active table, new table and change log table.

New table -> will contain the data which has freshly come from the data source once the data is activated the data from the new table is deleted.

Active table -> For use of data you need to activate the data this is the table used when you create Bex query on the ods or transfer data to any other infoprovider.

Chang log table -> There are data source which does not support delta in order to support those data source this table is used which helps to identify what has changed.

    Hope this helps!!!

    Hi Sameer,

    Welcome to SDN!!

When you load data to the ODS the data first comes into the "new table". After the data is activated the new table becomes empty and all the data activated resides in the "active" table. Now when we load the data for the second time the changes between the first load and second load is captured in the change log table.
