    Hi Mav,

Yes, you can map different SAP Systems like R/3, BW, CRM, SRM etc. with the Portal.

First task is to create a System object in portal which would talk to the SAP system. Give properites of Connectors/WAS/User Management/System Alias.

Second task would be to decide the User Mapping part.Either You can opt for UserId mapping from the Personalize menu or configure Tickets on your SAP Systems. For UserID mappings, the User on Portal need not be the same on backend.YOu can set this from the Personalize Menu at the Top. But for Tickets, user names should be same.

Once the connection is established, create Roles/Workset/Pages/ Iviews (referring to this system object).

For Creating Roles & Workset refer Help.Sap.comhttp://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/6e/eecf3d97ac7d10e10000000a114084/frameset.htm">Help.Sap.com>

    Hi,

U can integrate different SAP systems by creating a system for it and mapping the system alias to the user.

U can create a system under System Administration -> Portal_Content -> New -> System. Define all the required properties according to the SAP system. Then u can create a system alias for it. Then go to User administration -> User mapping. Search for the user and choose edit. Now select the sys alias u have created and map it to the user. Save it. Now u can create an iView and assign it to a page, then page to workset and workset to role and add the role to the user.

Check these links for more details.
