FB50 Transaction variant

Hi all,

I have a problem with using the screen variant created by me.

Requirement:

Create a new screen variant for transaction FB50 so that Trading partner, segment and partner segment fields are field number 4,5,6 in the line item.

These are the steps that I performed:

1. Go to Transaction SHD0. Entered FB50 in the t-code. In the transaction variant tab, I entered my transac variant name - Z_IC. Clicked create

2. In FB50, I changed the layout on details accordingly and hit enter. Clicked Exit and save. Gave a name to the screen variant

3. Now I see that the screen variant is associated with the transaction variant

4. I enter FB50, turn on the tree, I do not see my screen variant on the left side!

What am I missing? I even logged off, logged in and its the same!

Please help.

This is very basic and I am yet not able to solve the problem.

Just wanted to share the solution:

Apparently after creating it, you must add it in FB50. In the tree, right click 'screen vaiatnts for items' -> then add your screen variant.
