Func.mod. in CCM to determine whether or not a product is assigned to view

Hello everybody

We got some serious performance problems with our SRM / CCM installation (SRM server 5.0 SP08 with CCM 2.0 SP03) when adding more than 2-3 items from a SC template to a new SC.

We have enabled the "Validate Product Data from SAP Enterprise Buyer" option in customizing of external web services. We need this because that way price changes and other things are taken into account (e.g. whether or not an item still is assigned to catalog view).

We made a simple test: we marked 10 items in the SC template and clicked on "Add to shopping cart"... after 1-2 minutes (!!!) the system came back with this 10 items in our new SC. Simply an inacceptable performance!

We're now searching for ways to reduce this time consuming process significantly. One might be to deactivate the "Validate Product Data from SAP Enterprise Buyer" option again and to implement some functionality in form "copy_items_to_basket" or in BAdI BBP_DOC_CHECK_BADI. In such a case we're especially interested in:

a) how to check whether or not an item from a SC template still exists in a catalog?

b) how to check whether or not an item from a SC template still is assigned to a catalog view?

c) how to check whether or not an item from a SC template has an updated price and/or product category?

Any inputs regarding performance optimizations and questions according to a, b or c would be greatly appreciated!

Kind regards,

Renaud Desarzens

Hello,

I had also some performace issues, but mostly regarding CCM with SP03.

Look at notes 873746 Performance improvements and 867243 Performance BAdIs. They are connected with SAP ABA version that you are on.

Also look at note 920158 EBP 4.0+: Shopping cart performance.
