Error C$ 308 when execute BAPI_BUS1077_GETDETAIL

Hi.

I am working on a report to get information from PLM to show in ECC. Sometimes when the report execute BAPI_BUS1077_GETDETAIL return an error message "C$ 308 Error when calling long text processing" I was debugging the BAPI and I found that the message is because the BAPI execute READ_TEXT MF and find nothing. I was checking the scenarios for this error in PLM but the changes orders and objects seems fine and I was searching on line about this error but there is no much information about this.

Any onformation about this will be helpful.

I have the same issue. We found that when we initially enter the long text, no error is displayed. but if we try to change the Statement exists indicator in PLM (Composition > Ingredient statement) value and re-enter the text , SAP throws up the C$308 error. Also. We have text entered in two languages, EN and FR, However, I do not see the FR text, only my colleague does. This makes me suspicious about the actual long text data record.

SAP did not delivery any advice how to use "APIs" / "BAPIs" properly. You will find some exmaple reports of use of "BAPIs" in yoru system (there examples are discussed here as well very often)

But eventhen: this might not be sufficient. The discussion has shown that SAP EHS consultants do really have "many "similar" issues to use BAPIs/APIS correct

we need the" context" to help you. By whatever reason: during processing READ_TEXT is used. And here the problem is generated.

Without code (and data situation) no help is possible (and even if you show that: i have some "doubts" that help is possible)
