is there a limitation for file adapter

Hi All

Is there a limitation on the File Dapter in Xi in terms of Number of records it can process ??

In most of the scenarios we have worked upon we usually prefer splitting of the file if the number of records exceed 10000-11000 ,for faster processing.

I wanted to know the impact on performance of the interface and memory consumption if the file that is to be processed is of the range of 60,000- 80,000 records
