Calling ABAP RFC via JCO

I have created an ABAP function and RFC enabled it but when I am calling it using JCO, I am not getting any values. I have tested the function using Transaction SE37 and the return value is comming correctly.

Is there any thing that I am missing? I am able to call other RFC functions using the same JCO code piece.

Any help is appreciated.

one of the possible reasons is that the import parameter is not passed properly.

for example let us assume the import parameter is cost center. the right way to pass it using jco is with the prefixed zeros. example if the cost center number is 789 it should be passed with 6 leading zeros (000000789) - (because there is a alpha conversion at the domain level.

the same would work just by passing 789 from SE37 because, it runs in SAPGUI environment and in SE37 system automatically will convert it to 000000789.

There could be other reasons, but i often seen people making this error.
