i have installed java add on for ABaP
Please let me know how to start it

What Operating system are you using?
In the meantime,try transaction SMICM ? > Administration > J2EE SERVER > Restart > Yes
Did you complete the post installation tasks for J2EE engine?
I am using Window 2003 server
NEtweaver 2004s
Try in the SAP MMC.
i did not do the post installation activities

These will be in your installtion guide.
As you've not specified what install you were doing on NW (XI,BW,EP) I can't be exact with the post-installation tasks.
Already BW is there .
on that server i am installing Java add on
