Hi Vamsi,
For configuration with R/3 system you have to create a system first
Check this link for creating systems
http://help.sap.com/bp_epv260/EP_EN/documentation/EP/N03_BB_InstallGuide_EN_US.doc
Go to system administration --> system admin --> system landscape.
Expand the portal_content folder.
Right click on the folder and choose create new system and choose the template you need.
You have to specify
Connector properties
User admin
user mapping and
ITS properties from the drop down
Then right click the system object and choose create alias and save.
Right click the sytem object and choose connection test.
Once these steps are done you have to create an iview
For this go to
Content admin --> portal content
Expand the portal_content and right click and chhose create iview.
Choose the tempalte SAP transaction iview and proceed further
Once iview is created. Right click the iview and choose preview.

Hi Vamsi,
Log on to portal using
http://<portalserver>:<portalport>/irj/portal
Port is ( 50000 ) + ( J2ee instance ) * ( 100 )
If the J2EE instance is 00 then the port no will be 50000
If the J2EE instance is 01 then the port no will be 50100
If the J2EE instance is 02 then the port no will be 50200
For logging into visual admin port no is
portal port no + 4 ie eg. 50004

Arun
