WDABAP: F4 calender help

Hi all,

I have an input field that needs F4 calender help. I have a context attribute of type D (input help mode - Automatically ) and the input field is bounded to this attribute. The F4 symbol shows up in the layout but in the actual screen, it shows only an input field.

Thanks in advance,

Sravanthi

    Hi Sravanthi,

Change the data type "D" to "DATS". It's working for me.

    It's not a bug!!!.

    Hope it solves the problem.

    Hi Sravanthi,

If the type was the ABAP type D, the calendar should appear automatically. If this was not the case, please create an OSS ticket. A developer will take a look.

    Best regards,

    Thomas

    Hi,

are you sure that in the ABAP Dictionary a corresponding search help exists? See http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/3d/e53642e2a3ab04e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm

Please note that for data element TIMS no automatic F4 help exists.

    Regards, Heidi

    Thomas,

In WDR_TEST_EVENTS - DateNavigator View, F4 help symbol appears on the layout page for the input fields. But when you test the application, they are just input fields without any help. They are all bounded to type D attributes with help mode 'Automatically'. This is exactly the way I created mine. I just want to be sure I did not miss out on anything before I create an OSS ticket.

    Thanks,

    Sravanthi

Thanks guys for all your help. I'm using DATS for now, but I'm creating an OSS ticket anyway.

    Thanks,

    Sravanthi
