Business Explorer Role (Portal Role) is not found?

Hi Friends,

Could anyone let us know how to get the Business Explorer role in the porta? We searched inthe PCD but no luck.

My quesetion is when it would be imported? does we need to do it sepearately?

kindly let me know how to get this role in the portal.

Hey @ All,

how did you install the EP? What kind of Usagetype did you select?

To have the BI content installed to the EP you need to install the BI usagetype as well. So in SAPinstaller you have to check the marks properly.

If you have installed only the EP usagetype you are able to reinstall the BI usagetype afterwards. As far as I know you can start the SAPinstaller again and set the right checkmarks.

The BI (usagetype) content needs a WEBAS Java and EP installed.

Hope this explanation helped a little... if so points are very welcome since i am starting from scratch!

We are using EP7.0 SP6, I didn't see any role like Business Explorer role. Do I have to install something to get this role. Please Let me know if someone who worked in EP 7.0. I know it is in EP6.o

EP version and stack?

role name is com.sap.ip.bi.business_explorer_showcase & PCD location is pcd:portal_content/com.sap.pct/platform_add_ons/com.sap.ip.bi/Roles

BTW: am on EP 6.0 SP 14
