Hi,

If this attribute is not used in any reports then I think you can go to your cube and edit, go to Nav.attributes tab, this attribute should be listed there and deselect the I/O switch. It will give errors if it is used in any queries. Post your response if it works.

What if in the info object setting for this attribute under BEx I make it as " NO DISPLAY" , Will it still show under the master data as an attribute.

Thanks

Hi Radhika,

No matter whether you set it as 'Attribute Only' or make it 'No Display', it will be an attribute of the master data. Only thing is You will not be able to display it in the reports. When you make it as 'Attribute Only', it will not be available in Bex as an attribute of this master data. In both these cases, you can not display the data. Hope this helps.

Is there any way I can hide this attribute so that the users do not see it when they create a query based on this master data or pull this as an attirbute in any other infoprovider.

Thanks

Hi Radhika,

If that attribute is a custom attribute, you can make it "Attribute Only" so that no one can use it in queries. This way, your attribute is not available for reporting. Hope this helps.

Hi Radhika,

you need to drop the loads from all the infoproviders where this master data object is used before you drop the data for this master data.

Hi Radhika,

You are right. You need to drop the data before you remove the attribute and then reload it.
