Hello Gurus,
I am trying to configure collaboration features on the Portal. the first thing I did was, I got the Collaboration launch pad in the tool area of the Portal. I then added two contacts and tried sending them instant messages. But I just see a blank chat window, after writing a message and hitting send button. The person at the other end is also not receiving any messages.
What else needs to be configured for the Instant messaging to work properly?
As always, points galore for the right and helpful answers.
Thanks
~LB
Hi Leena,
In the launch pad, on the top right side, what is the
status of each one of your test users?
If they are not set to "auto detect" please set them to this status and try to run a chat session.
Thanks,
Oren.

Hello Leena,
What version are you running?
If EP6.0 bellow SP15, check out SAP Note 878092:
The solution would be to upgrade to SP15, or above.
Hope that helps,
Yoav.

Hello Leena,
The basic configuration for using the collaboration features is described here:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/01/f7e626b95d8d46b8f4f7d764a726fc/frameset.htm
Specifically for instant messaging, see the last 2 rows in the table.
Hope that helps,
Yoav.
Hello Yoav,
I have completely configured as per the instructions on the help. But I dont see anything happening on the Chat messaging. All I see is a blank chat window, with not even a message, after hitting the send button. The message is also not reaching the recipient.
Please let me know, is there any other configuration or a patch required?
we are currently on EP 6.0 SP15
Thanks,
~LB
