    Hi Christophe,

I think the price calculating problem is too complex to solve it using formatted searches. With formatted searches you are only able to get the SQL executed when 1 event is raised (field change). But for this scenario, the result value depends on more than one field (Item, height, width, ¿Quantity?... ).

That´s why I recommend you not to try to solve it this way. Unless you say to the customer he has to push Shift+F2 for each document line.

    • Hi,

Depends on what you are able to deal with the customer.

I think best solution is to catch the validate event of the fields which are needed to calculate the right price (Item Code/Item Name, quantity, weith, width...), calculate it (SQL or whatever), and set it into the price field.

If you are not going to let the user change the calculated value manually, another option could be to put a button on the form that will recalculate the price for all the items on the document. This would have better performance, but needs more work from the customer, and is less flexible.

      Hope helps,
