Check Item Availability in VA01.

Hi All,

As we know, in VA01 screen there is a option for 'Check Item Availability' and a field for confirmed quality.

My requirement is, If enough stock is there, then the Confirmed Quantity should be populated without calling 'Check Item Availability' function in foreground.

If there is a shortage in Stock then 'Check Item Availability' option should be called in foreground automatically as soon as the user enters Order Quantity. And based on user selection confirmed quantity should be updated.

Pls guide me how to achieve.

In standard, if the ordered quantity is more than the available unrestricted stock, then only, system would trigger the Availability check screen. Let me know if this is not happening in your case.

Could it also be triggered in case the goods are available at later date than requested delivery date? Or some scenario specific to PP integration? We have manufacturing too and I feel the screen is triggered more frequently than in simple sale scenarios. But I wasn't really paying attention so far.

Hi Mr. Lakshmipathi,

In VBBE table the is a field for MRP Area - BERID.

Where I can find this MRP Area field in VA01/02/03 screen in SAP.
