Solution Directory Graphic Displays as XML

We are runing Solution Manager 4.0.

If I perform the following actions...

- Run transaction SOLUTION_MANAGER.

- Select "Goto Solution Directory" (pencil icon) for a solution.

- Expand the solution structure by clicking on the solution name.

- Select the Systems sub-item or the Servers sub-item.

Instead of seeing any graphics in the Graphic tab, I see XML tags. The XML is formatted using Internet Explorer's default appearance.

Any idea what could be causing this? I downloaded and installed the latest version of Microsoft XML (MSXML 6.0), but this didn't change anything.

Hi,

I think the problem would be with IGS. Check whether IGS is installed. Is the case that only nodes are giving XML code. Do you see any other graphics. This should help you.

IGS is working. We have verified this with a test program.

At one time this particular graphics was working. I think it may have stopped working when we assigned the DefaultUser BSP alias to the SOLARSERVICE account. Could this be a permissions issue for SOLARSERVICE?

We've determined that it actually the defaultUser alias that is returning the XML. defaultUser runs under the SOLARSERVICE account. We replaced SOLARSERVICE on that alias with one with SAP_ALL and nothing changed, so were pretty sure it isn't permissions.

If we look at IGS statistics, it doesn't look like IGS is even getting invoked.

Our problem was with the mapping of the defaultUser alias. Instead of having it mapped to .../solman/defaultUser we had it mapped it to .../solman/defaultUser/graphicData.

Hi Steve,

Can you help us how to change this default name mapping.... we too are in a similar problem...where the graphics display is in XML code.

The error shows : URL http://blrkecsolman.XXXXXX.com:8001/sap/bc/solman/defaultUser/graphic/solmangraphic.htm call was terminated because the corresponding service is not available.
