Hello Guys!!!

I have a requirement of upgrading my Kernel to 7.21 EXT from 7.21 in IBM OS/400 7.3. I have Downloaded the media of SAP KERNEL 7.21 EXT 64 BIT UNICODE which is same as the requirement. (https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/softwarecenter/template/products/related/_APP=00200682500000001943&_EVENT=DISPHIER&HEADER=Y&FUNCTIONBAR=N&EVENT=TREE&NE=NAVIGATE&ENR=67837800100200021406&V=MAINT/SAP%20KERNEL%207.21%20EXT%2064-BIT%20UC)

while executing the following command in SIDADM "APYSIDKRN SID(SID) ARCHIVES('/Directory/*') SAVSAR(*NONE) MODE(*FULLY) CHGENV(*NO) UPDAPAR(*NO)" i get the error "INVALID SAR-ARCHIVE 'DIRECTORY/FILE_NAME"

Any help on the above is appreciated.

Regards

Hi Manikandan,

Are you certain you downloaded the correct platform version of the kernel archive? The download page defaults to AIX, every time, so it's important to be vigilant about that. What is the full filename of the SAR archive you downloaded?

Cheers,
Matt

Hi Matt

Yes. The media was downloaded for IBM i only. The Problem got resolved. We identified that there were Network Disruption during the transfer of file to the Server. That was the reason for the error INVALID SAP Archive.

Thanks for your answer Matt
