I have a fiscal period April – March

Need to have a rolling forecast – monthly

If current month = 2016.AUG than APR-JUL will be ACTUAL and the remainder (AUG to MAR) will be FORECAST

(FORECAST = S4F.2016)

Step 1 – Works out fine however when I get to step2 and change the current period

Formula

“ACTUAL” 2016.APR

=IF(B9<$B$6,"ACTUAL",$B$7)

“ACTUAL” 2016.MAY

=IF(C9>$B$6,"ACTUAL",$B$7)

However when I get to step2 and change the current period to SEP or DEC

It move all the formulas around and change the sign from > to <

See below

Step 2

2016.MAY

=IF(C9>$B$6,"ACTUAL",$B$7)

This should have been ACTUAL not sure why it’s not picking up the ACTUAL Category

First of all your formula has to be referenced or included in the EPMOlapMeberO function, read here:

Second - in general it's better to copy ACTUAL months to forecast CATEGORY :)
