Existing Web Application Login Page to be accessed in an iView

Hi

I am totally new to SAP Portal development, Actually i have a Web application which is running on SAP WebApp Server. It has a Login Page, Now the Requirement is that the Login Page should be shown in the IView, and once the user submits with his userid/passwd, the flow should go to the App server where the Business Logic is for Authenticatio and Authorization.

Can you please tell me What do i need to Achive this?

Mainly converting the Login Page to an Iview. Also if you can provide a small POC for getting this done??

Thanks

Glen

    Hi,

I think u can create an url iView for this purpose.

Login to portal. Right click portal content folder and create a new folder for ur purpose. Now right click ur folder and choose New-> iView. Choose URL iView and go through the wizard template where u specify the login page url of ur web application. Once it is done, ur iView is ready. Now assign this iView to any page or role wherever u want and access this iView.

      Hi

when i was creating the Mapping it gave the below Error

      what must have gone wrong??

My other Question is, how will the Application know about my user credentials as it has to authenticate the same rather than the Portal. Does it mean that for each and every user accessing my app should be configured in the Portal in this manner? I have 1 lakh users accessing this application. Is there any other alternative??

      Regards

      Glen

    Hi

I think you can create an URL Iview for your application.

So it will show your login page as one of the iview.

    Regards,

    Ajay
