How can i control release strategy for different plants in one Purchase order ?

- I need to configure release strategy for purchase order such that if i have two plants in one PO then the approver concerned to particular plant only can release the PO item. Can this be done using authorizations though PO cannot be released item level?

PO release is always at PO header level not at PO item level. There is no standard solution for having release strategy at PO item level. Only other way, PO should contain only single plant in the all PO items.

the standard system will look for a strategy where the plant characteristic of the classification is maintained with a blank entry. But this of course cannot differentiate between individual plants.

You can also use the exit EXIT_SAPLEBND_002 to influence the standard logic and create your own rule for the strategy determination.
