Modification in cube

Hi guru,s

I have cube in production which is getting records everyday with delta loads.we want add some more records without effecting delta load.

Plz tell me how to do this.

Hi hari,

u can do full upload with out disturbing delta.u have an option called 'Repairfullrequest'.

Infopackage screen -> menu-> repair full request.

You can do a Selective FULL load without effecting the DELTA.

hi Hari,

if it's keyfigure, you can just add without any problem,

for characteristic better create a new dimention to assign with.

you will need to reload data again if you want historical/previous data for this new added field.

i see ... read it as 'add new field' since it's 'cube modification'

how it will be done ? use the same infosource/datasource ?

use the same datasource, you can full upload with selection (create new infopackage) and then 'init without data transfer' whenever necessary.

the other way you can create flat file and upload without disturb the delta but may more effort on preparing data.

yes Iam using same datasource and source system for load data again, We don,t want effect delata loads, can we do at the same tine delta upload and full load or inil load?
