Hi all
I install SAP R/3 Enterprise SR1 with SuSE Linux Enterprise server 9 and SAPDB 7.3.28. At the end of the installation exactly on the " Starting RFC Jobs (post processing" the following problem begins.

Hi Jose,
did you edit /etc/services?
you need the services entered there for sapgw00 and sapdp00

Hi Jose,
a short question - which SP of SLES9 do you have installed
(you can check it by typing "SPident" in a root shell). I know some problem with the FQDN and the RFC connects.
Please check your /etc/hosts, if there is an entry like
127.0.0.2 server.organization.org server
please delete this. This entry is new since SP3 of SLES9.
Try to restart the installation, the error should not occur
anymore.
Regards
Johannes
Hi Johanes
Thank you very much fot your email
Sorry Im new in this Installation
I have some questions.
I see the SPdent, and I dont have any SP Installed
In the etc/host I have:
#
hosts This file describes a number of hostname-to-address
mappings for the TCP/IP subsystem. It is mostly
used at boot time, when no name servers are running.
On small systems, this file can be used instead of a
"named" name server.
Syntax:
IP-Address Full-Qualified-Hostname Short-Hostname
#
127.0.0.1 localhost
special IPv6 addresses
::1 localhost ipv6-localhost ipv6-loopback
fe00::0 ipv6-localnet
ff00::0 ipv6-mcastprefix
ff02::1 ipv6-allnodes
ff02::2 ipv6-allrouters
ff02::3 ipv6-allhosts
192.168.101.29 rpone.local rpone
I need to install the SP?
What IP I need to delete ?
Regards
Jose
Hi Jose,
what have you entered in SAPGUI? Try it with the IP address 192.168.101.29
if its not working go into the work directory of the instance and check the log files there...
also your domain name in /etc/hosts looks strange...
192.168.101.29 rpone.local rpone
local is no domain name, change it to an existing domain name in your company, like "company.com"
