Company Car administration in SAP

Hi All,

Currently we are exploring the possibilities of migrating the existing ‘company car’ software into SAP.

The current lease car / company car application is made in MS Access and the data will need to be transported to R/3.

Is there anybody who has experience with company car administration in SAP? When should we use Infotype 0442 and when should we use a combination of Infotype 0032 with AS01? Also the link to FI-CO is unclear at this moment, so any help will be much appreciated.

Did you ever find a solution for this? You would think given the vast amount of companies running SAP that have to adminster company cars, either owned / leased or a combination, there would be s atndard solution for this.

Or, as is often the case, are five thousand different companies that run SAP doing the same thing five thousand different ways? some use leased assets from AA, some use internal orders, some use fleet management from PM, some have bespoke ABAP solutions etc...

I bet that is what is happening.

Hi Paul,

It depends on what exactly you want to do. SAP HR has a standard solution for Company Cars from the taxable benefit point of view. Comnpany Cars assigned to employees is maintained in IT 0442, and is available for standard reports to generate P11D.

Most company use third party providers for managing the whole process of application and allocation of company cars, and the end result is maintained in the above infotype.
