Drag & Relate iview

hi all GURUS,

Enterprise portal is newer for me.

I have added Three iviews as DRAG $ RELATE TARGETS in one page and i have aslo adeed Related link type iviews to that same page and i assignd that page to any user

Now when i logon as that user then it shows that ivies in Drag $ relate iview windows as link when i click on it then it will open in new window but i don't found any function like drag and relate in those iview

And also same thing happened means it will open inh new window when i click on Related link iviews.

now can anybody tell me what is the difference between them in terms of functionality and please also show me the method by wich i can achieve that difference.

Hi Hardik,

In the content area the iviews are displayed. Drag any one of the field and drop in the Detailed navigation where the Drag and Relate iviews are displayed. Based on the input the other iview will get executed.

hi arun,

Thanks. now i have created three drag & relate iviews and they are displayed in the drag and relate navigation and corresponding to that page my content editor is empty now how can i assure about their functionality in terms of drag and relate.

Hi Hardik,

Try dragging the field content from the source iview and drop it in the corresponding target iview in the drag and relate detailed navigation.

The target iview should open up and display.

Hi,

Drag&Relate and Related links iviews are 2 different types of iviews.

1) Drag&Relate iview is part of the unification capability of the portal which can be used to get meaningful data by creating relations between business objects. Check

2) Related links iviews are iviews which are added as links or refernce iviews to existing iviews or pages so that it is easier to find them while navigating in the portal.
