Problems with printing SC

Hello all

SRM Server 5.0 SP08 with CCM 2.0 SP03.

We have some difficulties to get SC printing (pdf) running. When clicking on the print icon / button a new window opens but instead of displaying the pdf document of the SC it shows the same screen again from where we clicked on the print icon.

We already verified global service, bbpstart, bbpsc03, bbpsc04. SSO2 is configured correctly (run with destination NONE).

Are there some other specific services to publish or to customize in SICF in order to get it running?

Any ideas what else we could verify, double-check?

Didn't help unfortunately. We're on Adobe Reader 7 and had already implemented not 890408 some months ago.

The thing is that it is working properly in our development system but not in our quality system (we transported everything two weeks ago and are now preparing integration tests). I'm sure I've done something in development system that I most probably missed to document somewhere

Any other ideas?

Could you checked following points :

1- User role comparison in PFCG

2- print attribute in the structure inherited by the user

3- smarforms : did you try first to print the standard one ?

Thanks for your help!

1 - Done, re-tested, no change

2 - Attribute PRI is empty (as is in development system as well... and there it works)

3 - Yes, no change

To clarify what happens:

When clicking the print icon/button (e.g. when your in the check status transaction) a new window is opened. It displays the check status transaction again instead of the generated PDF document of the SC.

Other ideas?

Yes, we have. We're just setting

smartform = 'ZPCG_M_BBP_SC'.

Double-checked existance in transaction SMARTFORMS and whether it's activated or not (it is).

I do have a SRM40 SP8 systems and printing is working fine...

I do use standard smartform.

Got some news...

I retried to run with standard smartform BBP_SC. This time it worked. Don't know what I did wrong in my 1st attempt.

So my question now is: why doesn't it work with our own smartform ZPCG_M_BBP_SC. It's definitly here and active... and it's working with in in our development system!

Is it a transport problem with smartforms? The transport protocol contains no errors / warnings! So I'm stuck once again...

Any ideas?

That's funny as i do have the same issue for PO output in SRM50 ...

For preview output, system is opening a new windows with the same screen content ! I receive error message "global settings missing for PO"...

I do not have any issue with SC preview in this release.

Yes, tried it but our system always asks for a tranport and I don't want this of course. Went to SCC4 to allow changes without transports and also for repository and client independant cust. The system still asks for a transport order. Do I have to open something else elsewhere?!? Because this way I can not deactivate/reactivate the smartform.

What global settings? Is your PO output standard or own smartform? Maybe the error message points to some global smartform settings?!?

Hi,

I saw your conversation regarding problem in printing the SC preview.

I am also facing the same problem. Now this is working in Development environment but it’s not working in Quality. Instead of opening PDF file it’s opening the same page again.

Can you please tell me how you solved this issue?

Unfortunately we could not solve it yet... maybe there are some special activations in SICF or around smartforms to perform?

We do not find differences in SICF when comparing each SICF service between dev and qual system.

Hi all

Solved the problem. It turned out to be a missing logo that was not transported. When going to transaction SMARTFORMS and trying to view it, we got an information message telling us which logo was missing.
