WEB Application Server - Type Mismatch Error

Hello ,

I'm using BW WeB Application Designer ver 3.5 & when I login &

select New Template

Type something e.g. Test & try to save it

I receive a Type Mismatch error followed by a runtime error - 2147352571(80020005) .

Then the Web application designer closes.

Any help will be appreciated, I did follow the instructions in note 819131 , hoping this might provide a solution but didn't help.

I did earliear download the latsest patchs.

But the problem is happening to different users e.g. From the same machine user-1 gets the error.

If I test with my ID from the same machine -it works fine .

I added the user SAP_ALL & mapped my access but the issue still remains.

I created a test user with minimum access & that user works fine from the same machine.

So, it dosen't look like a issue with the patch ?

it might be a "microsoft" question, but, the windows user was the same?

you can try another "microsoft" solution by reinstalling sapgui. i know it's not a logical answer, but you know how this works..

Hi Suvrangshu,

The WAD, and also the query designer, are sometimes very unstable. You may try to apply the latest patch to the sapgui (download it from service.sap.com/swdc). I think it's number 20. check which version you have (in saplogon, click on the upper left corner - about saplogon and you'll see your actual version). There is also a BEx patch in service.sap.com.
