Getting "Password has Expired" message

Dear Guys,

I am having one of the weirdest problem while logging into portal. The situation is like this,

My NT password was about to expire (had 6 more days for expiry). I was able to login till yesterday and all of the sudden today, when I was trying to login, I was getting the message "Password has Expired" message in portal login screen. So I went back and changed my NT password and tried to login again into the portal, however I am still getting "Password has Expired" message.

I tried restarting my machine, the portal server but nothing helped. My id is even not locked in portal.

Please help.

Ask your portal administrator to reset the password for your login and try if it works.

I hope its not the administrator password that you are getting a message for.

Hi Deepak,

You have to activate the SAP* user in configtool and then login to portal using SAP* and then change the password for the admin user in portal. Then deactivate the SAP* user in configtool and then loggin to portal using the admin user.

Hi,

What is the WAS / EP version including SP level you are using? Logon problems have been solved in SP 14. if you are using SP 13, apply required patches from service marketplace.

Also Check these possibilities:

1. If you are using SSO Logon Ticket for authentication, check thru your administrator whether there is a change in your password in any of the system.

2. Password change / expiration through the UME.
