How can I change the email address assigned to my account? My department is changing the email convention and the old email convention will cease to work soon.

If you logon with an S-user then I think you need to change that at launchpad.support.sap.com

If you logon with a P-user then you should be able to change the email address at accounts.sap.com

Hi Steve, changing of a p-user email address is not possible, not from accounts.sap.com or from anywhere else. Not part of the SCI product capabilities.

What are the possible workarounds, then? Would sending a mail to webmaster, as explained in 11. Inquiries, Access and Updating Your Personal Data (https://www.sap.com/about/legal/privacy.html) be the right approach? The information in the link is a bit vague on what changes exactly can be maintained in such way.

And are there any future plans to restore the e-mail change functionality for P-users?

Unfortunately one of the current shortcomings of SCI. We are working with product management on these issues but currently the only option to my knowledge is to create a new p-user.

My mistake.

And pardon a potential overreaction but, what? Seriously? You can't change the email address on a p-user account? I thought the whole point of p-users is that they are a personal account you can keep for life. Not everyone is going to be able to keep the same email address forever, surely?

My thoughts exactly. First the S-user problem (lose your SCN account when changing jobs) and now even with P-user you're stuck with one email for life? This place is seriously behind times from logon to UX... Digital revolution my back. :(

I also noticed an SAP colleague recently who's name and SCN profile seemed a bit strange, and most notably the missing SAP logo. I actually cross checked the internal SAP address book because I was confused if he was a current employee, or a former employee. Apparently some of these user profile challenges do not discriminate as he was formerly active on SCN prior to coming to work for SAP.
