Can we update Service Request/ Activity Partners from a Mass Data run in C4C ?

Hello Experts,

I have a requirement where I need to create a Mass Data Run (MDR) in order to first query Service Request and then update those Service Request for some of their Partner and replace them with different Customer number.

So far I have created a Custom BO and an Action for creating MDR. This Action do 'QuerybyElement' on Service Request and get a required Serv Req. but when I try to update any of the standard field on this Serv Req like BillingParty, or any other Party , I get syntax error that all of these fields are read only.

Could you please guide me what wrong I am doing .

I have read few blogs which mention to update custom/extended fields on a standard BO from a MDR . is it possible to update standard field also on standard BO from an MDR. if yes, any clue as how to do this.

Dear Gaurav,

Greetings for the day!

Please excuse me if i am wrong.

As per the standard process with MDR.

Mainly we cannot replace the existing customer with new customer. Which may results in lot of synchronization issues will happen with SAP systems.

Note : With Service Tickets you have have other functionalities like, Sending emails to customers etc.....

Hi Gaurav,

Can you please check the deployment Unit of Solution as I see that Deployment Unit Assigned to ServiceRequest BO is "Customer Relationship Management". So make sure your Solution also aligned to "Customer Relationship Management" Unit. For more details please refer following links:
