Hi Experts,
I have TREX engine configured in my portals.
search function is working fine for some docs, but for recently posted items it is showing error as
<b>No matches found for search criteria</b>
But in actual, document exist.Earlier it was working.
Is there any problem with indexing?shall i do reindexing or any other settings which needs to be done.
Thanks in Advance

Hi Amit
The search indexing will take some time. You can check the status from Trex Index Monitor. If you want the recent documents to appear immediately for testing purpose, you can flush the index.
Trex monitor->>Display Queues ...to see the status of the documents in the index
Trex monitor->>Change Queue Status select the index and press Flush .....to make the documents immediately available for searching

Hi Amit,
Errors in Preprocessor can have many reasons. Often the documents can not be retrieved properly for indexing. Two hints: 1.Search in this forum for threads containing "preprocessor" errors.
2. Go to TREX Monitor and check the returncode for the failed documents (go to "Display queues" and to "queue entries"). You can do this also using the TREX admin tool on TREX server.
This will limit the range of possible errors.
cheers,
Bettina
Hi Amit,
are you using ssl between Trex and Portal? If yes, there is some configuration necessary: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/3f/d98dbb89bf6105e10000000a114cbd/frameset.htm
As an alternativ you could enter an http-url in the URL Generator Service as 'Alternative Host'. This URL will be used by TREX to retreive documents.
Hope this helps
Karin
I am having a similar issue on my server... did you find a solution to your problem?
Thanks,
Tom
