Team,

One simple doubt.

Despite SAP being an ERP system no matter in what name it is (Such as 11 char cap) why does'nt it allow to give a value more than 100 crore in PR, Conditional Value field in SD module screens etc.

What are the best alternatives?

Is'nt SAP suitable for Business Units that have high value business transactions ie above 100 crore and all which is very common in [resent scenario.

MY FC suggest to use another currency as work around which i don't agree as mine being Indian company i want transaction to be expressed in INR only.

Regards

Mandan

Why do you need alternatives? What are you buying for such large amounts?

This is more a rant than a question.

1 crore = 10 million

100 crore = 1 billion

100 crore rupees equals about 15 million US$

yes, you probably going to have a problem buying a Boing 747 in 1 piece with Indian Rupees.

When the field lengths got designed in the last millennium there was probably no one who thought about the huge success of the software and that even Indian companies may have to purchase or sell items with such high amount.

If SAP would change this then I guess the mourning around the world would be loud as thousands of companies would need to adjust eventually thousands of programs, reports and forms

so you would probably need to break this apart, e.g. 10 items with 0.1 pieces each @ a price of 10 crore

Did you try maintaining condition record per 1000 or even more ? If this has not answered your query, you need to share a screen shot showing where exactly you want the system to accept higher value.

wouldn't then the price be a 1000 times higher if you choose per 1000?

This "per" makes sense if you negotiate prices with more decimals than the currency actually allows.
