We're setting up EDI for posting IDOCs into SAP ERP, running SAP ERP Central Component 5 on Windows server 2003. The translator software calls startrfc. The first problem we encountered was that libsapucum.dll was missing from the directory.
We applied note 182805 and installed RFCSDK to bring all the required exe, libs and dll's in. Repointed translator software to new directory.
We now get the error:
The application "startrfc"' could not be executed - The image file %1 is valid, but is for a machine type other than the current machine. Error code = -2147467259, native error code = 216.
Can anyone shed light on what to do next?
HI Mark,
Are you running on 64-bit or 32-bit architecture ?
If on 64-bit, you'll need to install the correct RFCSDK.

Mike

Hi.
I'm in a perdicament. Our SAP system is hosted offsite - not connected to our network. We have just installed GIS for EDI here. We have created a shared drive that the EDI and SAP systems can place the idocs in. The problem is - how do I push the idocs into SAP on inbound? I do not think that startrfc will work since the SAP server is not local - or will it?
Any technical advice would be greatly appreciated!
Pat
