Link between IE and Excel EPM doesn't work anymore

Hi Bpc Friends

Some users are facing a funny situation.

They are not able to run a BPF from the web page anymore and in Excel the tab EPM and datamanager disappearing.

If I open Excel and enable the add-in EPM, bpc would work fine but as soon as I close excel these tabs disappearing and even if I able these tabs again and I try to run a BPF from the web page nothing happens and again nothing would happen if I try to open excel from the web page, it looks that the link has been lost!!!

"If I open Excel and enable the add-in EPM" - your EPM Add-In is disabled on Excel restart? Please describe step by step (without talking about BPF)

yes on Excel restart EPM is not disables bit it doesn't appear in the tab (Epm and Data Manager), si I have to go to Com Add-in and put again the flag on EPM add-in for Microsoft

Do you mean that on each Excel restart the checkbox near "EPM add-in for Microsoft Office" is cleared?

For some users?

Please contact with the desktop support people! It can be a security issue or some issue with MS Office installation! Windows registry changes has to be logged...

you are right.

the user told me that until some days ago it worked.

so I suggested to un-install EPM Add-in, IE and Office and to install again

What do you think?

Without investigation of Windows specialist it's the simplest approach 🙂
