Slow profile generation on 7.11 Banking Services with 7.22 kernel

Dear gurus,

I have a strange phenomena happening on a SAP Banking Services system, release 7.11 SP15 with 7.22 kernel. This is a bit of an exotic basis and known for strange things happening, so it does not surprise me but I cannot work out where the problem is:

1) I create a role -> all ok and normal performance

2) I create authorizations in it and save and generate -> change docs show all ok

3) I assign the role to a user -> change docs show all ok.

BUT: in some cases the authorizations are not available until about 60 seconds later! A few seconds would be strange but still ok, but 60 seconds is very strange to me and is noticeable because the user is informed that they have the auths, but at first it does not work.

I cannot see anything suspect or waiting in the developer trace. Buffering method = 4 and USRBF2 is buffered with all keys. System does not otherwise suffer from any performance problems. This also does not always happen and there is no correlation to the size of the role or whether the user already has auths or these are the first ones.

Has anyone seen anything like this before? Any clues about what might be causing this?

Whether it is the generation which is delayed or the buffer rebuild I have not worked out so far. I am standing on a hosepipe here and not sure what else I could check or test to narrow it down.. :-(

    Hi Julius,

sounds to me rather as a Problem with table sync.... Are there more than 1 servers?

Please check then rdisp/bufrefmode and rdisp/bufreftime....

There exist several SAP Notes on BC-DB-DBI* correcting synch Problems.(like 1662749, 970548, etc.)....

Easy test: create the role, assign to user. Make sure, that the user logs on to the same Server where you are logged on. If the Problem is not present then, this would be a hint for such synch. issues.....
