Please clarify the following questions related to BAC element

Hi Experts,

I need some clarifications on the BAC element.

1.Is it absolutely necessary to include every custom bos that we created in a business option in BAC element before moving it to another tenant.

2.Once we create a patch solution ,is it possible to edit the BAC element and add business options

3.When do we use "Deploy Business Configuration" option,that you get on right click of the solution

4.Is it needed to create a change project in production before creating a patch solution.

Please clarify the above questions as I need to move a solution to Production this weekend.

Answers to your questions:

A 1 -> Its depends on the business use case, however its recommended to add it in BAC.

A2 -> Please refer help documentation - 8.2.2.3 Maintenance of Business Configuration Content - Change and Delete Restrictions for details.

A3 -> Both options 1.Deploy all business configuration content for your solution 2. Deploy only the business configuration content for your solution that is assigned to the business options you have selected in the business adaptation catalog .This allows you to test both partial and complete activation of your business configuration content in the development environment.

A4-> No.
