    Hi,

Pls don't cross post questions. I think you got enough useful answers in the ABAP forum already.

    Hi Shiva

SAP HR is doing well as anyone will tell you. Right now, we see a good demand for Payroll and Time Management. But as we fo further, we are witnessing more focus towards HR Analytics. HR Analytics is basically SAP HR integration with new dimension products like SAP BW and SEM. Areas like "Personnel Cost Planning" and "Workforce Analytics" are getting increasingly in demand.

For more details on HR Analytics, go to https://websmp105.sap-ag.de/~form/sapnet?_SCENARIO=01100035870000000112&_SHORTKEY=01100035870000598323&_OBJECT=011000358700003068012004E

Also, there is a growing shift toward the portal, both SAP EP and others. Organizations are dumping the concept of SAP logon pad and going for complete SAP through intranet/internet. The modules like "e-recruitment", "Objective Setting and Appraisals" and "LSO - Learning Solutions" are expected to be in demand in the near future.

Since you have a technical background, you should be looking to capitalise on the same. You could either go into "HR Analytics" side by getting knowledge on BW and SEM. Or you could learn configuration of portal and go for "e-recruitment", "Objective Setting and Appraisals" and "LSO - Learning Solutions".

And yes, Payroll and Time Management are still doing very well in the market.

Hope my small essay is useful.

    Regards

    Lincoln
