SAP B1 Cloud duplicate tenant to another Service Unit fails

Greetings!

We have a SAP B1 version for HANA cloud landscape up and running smoothly. When we try to do something that involves backing up a tenant on one HANA and moving it to another via a tenant storage folder, things go out of hand. Examples of such operations are: upgrade, upgrade simulation, tenant duplication.

The error message we see in Task History is:

SAP DBTech JDBC: 12: cannot open file: Cannot open the path: /mnt/Tenants/<tenant-name>/<tenant-name_timestamp>

The CCC is of version 1.10.SP00.PL08. Tenant storage shares are mounted on both the source and the target HANA machines as described in note 2054303 ("Enable SAP HANA tenant upgrade and Tenant Upgrade Simulation").

Any pointers?

Thanks in advance,

Dmitry

We have managed to find the solution on our own.

For tenant duplication to work correctly, please ensure the following conditions hold in your cloud landscape:

  1. All mount points specified for tenant storage in CCC are unique
  2. All HANA servers have all mount points mounted as described in note 2054303

I think that the second condition can be relaxed quite a bit, but we haven't experimented.

Best regards,

Dmitry
