Maintenance Order- Filling Settlement Rule

On the Maintenance work Order header, where does the info come from to fill in the settlement rule at the header level? From work center details? From equipment record? From config settings?

I know you can set default value through tcode OIOK , but if used, what does the processing group represent? will that populate the settlement rule on the work order?

Likewise what if all we want to do is record Hours against a cost center; no setup, or overhead which is how a work center is defined.

For tcode OIOA, we have the order types defined only with settlement profile = 40.

Any help is appreciated

In SPRO -Plant Maintenance and Customer Service-Maintenance and Service Processing-Maintenance and Service Orders-Functions and Settings for Order Types-Settlement Rule: Define Time and Creation of Distribution Rule

here you are defining during what process settlement rule be created automatically .

In SPRO -Plant Maintenance and Customer Service-Maintenance and Service Processing-Maintenance and Service Orders-General Order Settlement-Maintain Settlement Profiles- In relevant profile in default object type when you are selecting CTR then process of automatic settlement rule determination will work .after assigning this settlement profile in order type .Also it is presume selection of cost center will be set optional in settlement profile .

Also system will give first preference to equipment cost center then if that is blank then functional location cost center .If both of these is blank then need to fill manually .

Tim,

In general the we enter the settlement cost centre in the equipment/functional location. When the equipment/functional is entered into the maintenance order, then the location/account assignment details are copied into the order (inc. cost centre). This data is then used as a basis for the default settlement rules (the default settlement object being set in the settlement profile).

You can use user-exit IWO10027 to create your own customer-specific rules as required.

The processing group (OIOK) is used to group objects together for settlement runs. This can then be used in KO8G.
