Including a placeholder as parameter of URL in email template

We are using C4C email campaigns to send newsletters and event notifications to customer contacts.

When the recipient of the email clicks the unsubscribe link in the email, it should be directed to a landing page and depending on the recipient's responses, subsequently use the web service to update C4C.

In order for the web service to update the right contact record in C4C, the contact ID of C4C should be passed in as a parameter to the landing page. However, it seems that currently placeholders cannot be included as a parameter in URLs of the template.

Would like to check if anyone has similar requirements and how you manage to handle this?

many thanks!

Hi, we have the same requirement. It seems that this is a placeholder: <span class="variable">/FormCampaignExecutionPlaceholder/ContactPerson/InternalID</span>

Still, this kind of variable cannot be added to the value in the "href" attribute of an anchor tag. The "href" becomes empty when sent out.

Have you found any other solution?
